Insomnia

Is this a common ailment for military wives?

I had never experienced it before but these last 4 months I have been tormented by it.

I have noticed more and more of my military friends off handed remark on it.

Is it the secret enemy of the military wife?

Night terrors and sweats, paralyzing fear, anxiety have become a nightly occurrence.

My dreams are always haunted by the fear of a Ryan receiving a one year remote quickly after arriving in Boston. I wake up sobbing fearful of having to endure the insomnia that comes when he is gone.

The sounds of the wind can keep me up all night and then the next day I fight through the tears as exhaustion sets in as my early riser awakes me at 430 am like an alarm clock.

I can take the normal sleepless nights that motherhood brings but the insomnia is slowly wearing me down even now with only 12 days to go until graduation I fearfully wait for the night to come wondering if the insomnia is with me to stay?

Oh friend. I am so sorry. Weird that you would post something about dreams b/c I was just talking to a friend about the same thing. I will send you an email, more privately, about some things we discussed. Love you. Will be praying for your nights....
